How we can help schools and academies with their energy bills
There’s a huge change afoot in the education sector. In fact, nearly two thirds of secondary schools now have, or plan to have, academy status.
And with this change in status comes a change in how the institution is run, not least in the financial management of the school. In terms of paying for gas and electricity this means that academy schools are no longer stuck with the utility contract chosen on their behalf by the local authority.
This presents a great opportunity to shop around for energy contracts – but also creates more work – and in an area staff may be unfamiliar with. An alternative is of course to stick with the supplier the local authority already use, which may be an easier choice but often will not offer value for money or strong customer service.
Using a broker
The solution is that you let an expert source the best contract for you both in terms of price – and service. PH Energy Services provides such a specialised service for schools.
We have lot son experience working in the education sector. One of our long-standing, happy customers, Steve Kelly from Archbishop Sentamu, has this to say about us:
Archbishop Sentamu Academy School appointed PH Energy Services in 2009 to look after our gas and electricity supply contracts. As an Academy school we have a large area to heat and good energy prices are essential to us. We receive competitive rates from PH Energy for both our gas and electricity and have also put in place energy contract strategies. Academy schools can enjoy the autonomy of being able to purchase and have control over their own energy contracts but we do find the additional support provided by PH Energy Services invaluable.
As a family-run business they provide a personal service but also have a wealth of experience gained from working in the utility industry for many years. I am happy to recommend PH Energy Services to similar organisations to ourselves.
